  • where and how to find the right agent for you.
  • the secrets to writing the perfect query letter.
  • about Twitter pitches, agent contests, conference pitch sessions, and other ways to land a literary agent.
  • about simultaneous submissions, exclusive reads, "nudging" agents, and other confusing aspects of the querying process.

Why should you take this course?

I have done quite a bit of agent-searching in my life, and when I first started out, I made a LOT of mistakes. I want to save you from making the same mistakes I did!

After plenty of research, I learned how to do it right and finally landed two agents who wanted to represent me -- one I found by query letter and the other through a Twitter pitch contest. I had the luxury (agony) of deciding between them! I want YOU to have that luxury (agony), too!

Landing a Literary Agents's online resources, practical advice, individual feedback, and supportive community will get you ready to query the right way to the right agents.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts when you enroll and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. However, we will be having at least one live session through facebook. You can choose to attend that in real-time, or watch the video of it on your own time.
How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling, you will always have unlimited access to the course materials and the facebook group - for as long as you like, across any and all devices you own.
What do you mean by an in-depth query letter critique?
I mean you can send me your query letter at any time (tomorrow or two years from now), and I will give you not only line edits and line-by-line comments, but also a written critique letter detailing what's working, what's not, and suggestions for how to make your letter even better. I'll even offer you the opportunity to revise your query and re-submit it for a second round of feedback.
What's the deal with the private facebook page?
When you enroll, you'll gain access to a private facebook page where you can connect with other students in this course. You can give each other feedback on your queries, ask questions, share information, and give each other support. This is also where we will do at least one live session in which we will discuss student query letters and answer questions.
Do I have to share my query letter with other students?
Absolutely not. In fact, you don't even have to share it with me if you don't want to. (But I'd recommend getting a critique from me at least -- that's part of what you're paying for.)
What if I am unhappy with the course?
I would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for ANY reason, contact me in the first 30 days and I will give you a full refund.
I still have a question or concern. What should I do?
